Cultivating premium products: Our Exclusive Partner Farm BONNY

In the world of agriculture and fresh produce, partnerships are the backbone ensuring a steady supply of high-quality goods to consumers. In this context, we are proud to introduce the BONNY Group as one of our Exclusive Partner Farms. The BONNY Group is renowned for its commitment to sustainability, quality, and reliability.

A glimpse into BONNY Group's excellence

The BONNY Group has more than 270 hectares under cultivation in the Canary Islands. 115 hectares are dedicated to the cultivation of cucumbers, most of which are destined for European markets. In addition, BONNY Group also cultivates tomatoes, bananas, and blueberries.

What sets BONNY Group apart from other winter season growers is their method of producing crops entirely under the warm embrace of the Canary Islands’ sun. The unique climate with an average temperature of 25º Celsius year-round as well as the minimal temperature fluctuation between night and day offer optimal conditions for crop growth.

Reliability and commitment

With over 85 years of experience, BONNY Group understands the importance of commitment and reliability in the agricultural industry. They supply supermarkets across Europe and England and have established themselves as trusted partners. Regardless of market fluctuations, they honour their agreements and prioritize their clients’ needs, e.g. by offering various formats and packaging options to meet specific requirements.

Moreover, being a European grower, BONNY Group adheres to strict quality and labour standards, thus ensuring that their products meet the highest industry benchmarks.

Sustainability at its core

The BONNY Group is not only committed to high-quality products but also to sustainability.
Innovative energy solutions, including wind turbines and solar panels, allow them to generate more energy than is consumed on the farm and in the packhouses. Additionally, all their cucumber crops are planted directly in the rich and fertile soil of their land, minimizing environmental impact.

With over 1,500 employees in their agricultural business, the company also plays a vital role in the local economy by providing employment opportunities and supporting livelihoods. Their commitment to the community supports their status as a responsible and sustainable company.

An exclusive fruitful partnership with Port

Our exclusive partnership is a relationship that has been evolving for a decade and is now reaching new heights. What began as a simple cucumber trade has grown into a profound partnership built on trust, communication, commitment, and dedication.

The BONNY Group exclusively reserves 10 hectares of cultivation area for cucumbers for us. This strategic move ensures a consistent supply of high-quality products during the colder months.

Together, we aim to continue exploring sustainable production methods while providing healthy and natural products to consumers across Europe. It’s a partnership that not only cultivates crops but also nurtures the seeds of trust and commitment for a successful and greener future.
